Workspace and Billing

Manage your workspace and team

A workspace groups applications, databases, buckets and billing-related settings. Your account can belong to several workspaces with different permissions. Always check the workspace selector before changing a resource.

Before you start

  • Know whether you are creating a new workspace, joining an existing team or changing the current workspace. A role grants specific permissions; being able to view an application does not necessarily allow billing, deletion or ownership changes.

Create or select a workspace

  1. 1Use the workspace selector to switch to an existing workspace, or open the create-workspace flow when you need a separate group of resources.
  2. 2Choose a clear name and complete the required setup and plan selection.
  3. 3Confirm the name at the top of the panel before creating resources.
  4. 4When following a generic link into GD, recheck the selected workspace. The link may resolve using your default or previously selected workspace.

Invite someone

  1. 1Open Workspace Settings > Members & Access.
  2. 2Enter the intended person's details and select a role appropriate to the tasks they need.
  3. 3Review the invitation before sending. Avoid granting plan, credential or deletion permissions simply to solve a missing view action.
  4. 4Ask the recipient to sign in with the intended identity and review/accept the invitation.
  5. 5Confirm membership and access after acceptance. An invitation that was sent is not yet accepted membership.

Change or remove access

  1. 1Confirm the member identity and current role.
  2. 2Review which tasks depend on their access, including integrations they manage.
  3. 3Change the role or remove access through the available action.
  4. 4Confirm the resulting member list and, where necessary, rotate separate integration credentials. Removing a human member does not automatically prove every external credential is unusable.

Change ownership or organisation settings

Open Organisation and Ownership and review whether the current workspace supports the action. Protected personal workspaces and permission checks can restrict conversion or transfer. A transfer should be initiated only for the intended new owner, then completed through the recipient's review. Do not remove the current owner before the supported transfer has finished. Changing a workspace display name does not by itself transfer legal or billing responsibility.

Maintain billing addresses and defaults

Use Billing Addresses to save accurate details and confirm which account or purchase will use them. Review storage defaults before changing automatic growth or limits: resources inheriting the workspace default can be affected. A resource-level override, when offered, applies to that resource instead. Verify the saved values after navigation.

Manage customer records

Use Customers for the customer associations supported by your workspace. Check whether you are editing a customer record or inviting a workspace member; those are different tasks. Review the selected customer when assigning services or purchases. Do not assume a customer association automatically grants panel access.

If something does not work

  • Missing workspace: verify the signed-in identity and invitation status. Action disabled: ask an owner or authorised manager to review your role and plan limits. Unexpected resources: stop and check the workspace selector before editing. Ownership transfer pending: review the recipient and completion status rather than creating conflicting transfers.

Expected result

The correct people have the intended access, ownership changes have completed through their review flow, and workspace defaults and billing details remain correct after revisiting the page.

Open the relevant page, then confirm the workspace or administrative context before making changes.

For signed-in procedures, open Help in your workspace and search by the task name. Administrative guides require the internal-documentation permission.
